EBCC in Lucerne

The 22nd conference of the European Bird Census Council (EBCC) entitled Bird Numbers 2022 "Beyond the Atlas: challenges and opportunities" takes place in Lucerne from 4 to 8 April 2022.

The 22nd conference of the European Bird Census Council (EBCC) entitled Bird Numbers 2022 "Beyond the Atlas: challenges and opportunities" takes place in Lucerne from 4 to 8 April 2022. It is organised by the Swiss Ornithological Institute in collaboration with various partners. EBCC conferences take place every three years and bring together people involved in bird monitoring, research and conservation across Europe and beyond. Following the online implementation of the distribution maps of the second European Breeding Bird Atlas (EBBA2) the topics of the conference will tie in with EBBA2, for example its use for nature conservation, research, national atlases and monitoring programmes.
