In winter, it often visits bird feeders and fighst other birds over the coveted morsels. Unlike other tits, Blue Tits do not store food but like to help themselves to food from storages of for example Marsh Tits. When foraging, the Eurasian Blue Tit is ingenious. In 1929 it learnt to open milk bottles with foil tops in Great Britain to get at the cream underneath. This behaviour was quickly passed on to other individuals.
</oembed>
