It has established itself for some time now in south Finland and the eastern Baltic, and also occurs further to the west almost every year as a summer visitor. More recently, there have been occasional sightings in Switzerland, and in 2015, breeding took place for the first time. The species appears to be undemanding and would find an abundance of breeding sites in our semi-open mountain forests. The Greenish Warbler winters on the Indian Subcontinent.
