The Short-toed Treecreeper, which is mainly restricted to Europe, calls with a loud “tyt tyt”. Its song is short, loud and rhythmic. In frosty weather, it looks for sheltered recesses to roost, for example under eaves, where several birds can spend the night huddled up together. They often change places so that in the course of the night each individual can spend some time in the centre of the collective roost.
</oembed>
