Résumé
In 2005, a nest of a Long-eared Owl was found on the ground in a clearcut with blackberry bushes. The brood was successful; at least three young fledged at the beginning of June. The density of Long-cared Owls was very high in 2005, presumably because voles were very abundant. This is the first documented case of ground-nesting Long-eared Owls in Switzerland. The other published cases from the rest of Europe are discussed.
