Bien que la recherche médicale ait désormais démontré clairement que l’exposition au stress, en particulier à un jeune âge, peut avoir des effets indésirables sur la santé, et donc sur la reproduction et la survie des animaux, il reste encore beaucoup à faire pour démontrer comment les facteurs de stress anthropogéniques (comme le changement climatique et le stress thermique, les produits chimiques ou la pollution lumineuse, les perturbations) influencent la santé des oiseaux sauvages.
