Understanding the demography, movement and phenology of birds form the crucial basis for any species conservation action. Long-term (volunteer) effort of marking individual birds yielded a wealth of capture-mark-recapture data containing invaluable information about these processes. In this project we employ modern statistical methods to unearth information from diverse data sources to study long-term changes and spatial variations of demography, movement and phenology of many bird species in Switzerland and beyond.
