The unit Library supports the staff of the Ornithological Institute and members of the public with questionsrelating to research, literature management and open access. It sees itself as Switzerland’s ornithological memory and collects and indexes ornithological and related literature in printed and electronic form as completely as possible.

The unit Archive permanently preserves the documents that are important for the Ornithological Institute from a historical, current and future perspective and fulfils the legal requirements. The physical and electronic archive records are indexed and made accessible internally.
