Report on the results of the bird monitoring in 2024

In the publication “Vogelmonitoring 2024”, the Swiss Ornithological Institute presents the latest results from its monitoring projects, in which over 2,000 volunteers in all regions of the country are involved. The highlights of 2024 include the first breeding of the purple heron in Valais, the continuing conquest of the Jura Arc by the golden eagle and the use of complete observation lists to monitor the rook population.
