Flourishing St. Gallen Rhine Valley

Biodiversity in urban areas

The association Pro Riet Rheintal and the Swiss Ornithological Institute are looking to generate more biodiversity in the Rhine Valley (Rheintal) urban area. The partnership-based, multi-year project includes a wide range of offerings such as advice on natural gardens, courses on natural gardening, talks and the conference Dialog Natur. The aim is to give rise to a movement promoting nature-oriented gardens in the Rhine Valley area, thereby providing new food sources and valuable habitats for insects, birds and small animals.
