The long-standing cooperation between IP-Suisse and the Swiss Ornithological Institute to promote wildlife-friendly agriculture is bearing fruit. Joint development of point systems in the areas of biodiversity, viticulture and summering is successful in protecting the environment and biodiversity. The farmers’ additional accomplishments are compensated for by premiums on the market so as to ensure sustainable production.
Integrated production (IP) promotes beneficial organisms and conserves natural resources.
IP-Suisse farmers maintain near-natural habitats.
Various measures are implemented such as “skylark gaps”.
Low-impact forms of production promote biodiversity.
